Referencing Yves Klein’s Anthropometry Series, so named after the study of human body measurements, where he used women as “living paintbrushes” to make this work and then did not credit the women involved, this image is an impression left by a female body pressed face down into the ground and for me signals the abject and unauthorised use of the female body.
