'Art can give the viewer a space to contemplate, a place where all senses are brought to bear and emotions are unbounded. I use the space to question society’s imposed constraint that women should be accepting of emotion and physical pain. I believe that to see that pain imagined is cathartic. The art becomes a crucible of experience that can be shared. '
